What a time it has been for Marvel Rivals since its release. The game has garnered massive appeal on console as well as pc. While this massive player base goes through the journey of learning and enjoying Marvel Rivals, the question inevitably arises: what are the best characters in the game? This tier list hopefully answers this question from a statistical standpoint. Although all characters seem viable if they are in the right hands, it is important to analyze what the data tells us from the community.
We observe the statistics: pick rate, win rate, average KDA, and seen rate. It's important to note that the data shown here is calculated for characters that played for more than 50% of the match, ensuring a thorough and reliable analysis. Also, we have statistics for Team Ups that cover seen and win rate. Also, let's clarify the pick rate and seen rate. Seen is for matches (so at least 1 Jeff in the match). The pick rate is global for all picks (there is a 5% chance any given player will pick Jeff). Lastly, we do have a character tier list based on the culmination of the data being observed.

Overall Tier List
To get to our overall tier list, we took the ranks of each character from the different statistical charts and averaged the ranks based on the number of charts provided. The only charts not factored in are the team-ups. For example, Moon Knight ranks 7, 6, 31, 26, 30, 23, 8, and 6 on the charts. To get his overall tier list rank, we added all the ranks together and divided them by 8, the number of charts we displayed. The Team-Ups were not accounted for on this tier list, but stay tuned as we will have a power ranking article that will go further into the Team-Ups.

Final Thoughts
The tier list contains some eye-opening statistics and results. I know that statistics don’t mean everything, but it is important to consider the statistical side. We will assemble a power-ranking article to rank each character within their respectful role, with a riser and faller for each. These power rankings will take the statistical side as well as the practical application side. It will be interesting to see how this tier list evolves with new seasonal buffs & nerfs and with the developing player base learning how to handle certain characters.
